No Pulling Allowed Workshop - 1st November

Do you adore your dog but dread taking him out on the lead?

Does your dog pull like a train on walks, pulling you from pillar to post?

Do you come back from every walk frustrated and exhausted, with hurting arms or shoulders?

Would you like more connection with your dog on your daily walk and turn your overexcited train pulling pooch into the perfect walking companion?

Don’t worry help is at hand.

Based on Natasja Lewis’s book

‘No Pulling Allowed’

this workshop walks you through the skills
you must teach your dog to turn
even the most dedicated puller
into a model walking companion.

In this workshop, you will learn which skills your dog needs to enable him to choose to walk with you rather than pull you like a train.

  • We will identify each of the life skills needed for loose lead walking, and explore them.
  • How to teach your dog each of these life skills and apply this learning to stop your dog from pulling on the lead.
  • You will be taught how to break down each exercise so you can set your dog up for success.
  • How to identify what motivates your dog and how to use it to stop him pulling.
  • How to use rewards effectively.

I will teach you how to use play and games to teach your dog to want to walk by your side.

Reliable Racing Recalls Workshop - 8th November

Do you love your dog, but get frustrated because he doesn’t come back when you call him?

Are you fed up with looking like an idiot shouting out your dog’s name in the middle of the park, while your dog continues to do his own thing?

Does your dog start to come back, but then get distracted and follow his nose instead of returning to you?

Would you like your dog to return to you as soon as you call every single time, so you can stop stressing because you know your dog will listen to you when it matters the most?

In this workshop, you will learn the life skills you need to teach your dog to love coming back to you every time you call rather than ignore you.

  • We will explore why your dog doesn’t come back and identify the life skills we need to teach you and your dog to banish that annoying “keep away” game to a thing of the past.
  • I will show you how to teach your dog these skills and how to apply this learning in real-life situations.
  • You will be taught to break down the recall into its component parts and train them separately, so your dog can succeed at every step.
  • We will identify what makes your dog tick and use this to our advantage.
  • You will learn when, how and where to reward your dog for coming back to you

Off Lead Control Workshop - 15th November

Does your dog take off the minute you let him off the lead and ignore you for the rest of the walk?

Are you stressed when your dog disappears into the undergrowth, or starts chasing wild life because you are afraid you will loose him?

Does your dog run up to every dog and person he sees, jumping up at them and ignores your requests for him to come back?

Would you like your distracted dog to be laser-focused on you, instead of every bird, person or dog he sees so you can return to enjoying your off-lead walks together?

In this workshop, you will learn the skills you need to teach your dog to love stay with you on your walks together instead of taking off to do his own thing.

  • We will explore why your dog prefers to do his own thing rather than stay with you and identify the life skills we need to teach you and your dog to enjoy to walk together
  • I will show you how to teach your dog these skills and how to apply this learning in real-life situations.
  • We will break down off lead control into its component parts and train them separately, so you can keep control even if your dog is at the other end of the field.
  • We will identify what your dog finds rewarding and I will show you how to use this to encourage your dog to stay with you and love it as much as running around.
  • You will learn when, how and where to reward your dog so you can become the centre of your dog’s universe.

The No Pulling Allowed,  Reliable Racing Recalls and Off Lead Control workshops can be taken as stand-alone workshops, but why not combine these courses to supercharge your dog walking experience and iron out those niggly and sticky cobwebs before they start creating a real problem on your walks with your four-pawed best friend?
