My one-to-one training sessions are personalized to address your specific training goals and challenges. Whether it’s basic obedience, behavioural issues, or specialized training, I will work closely with you and your dog to achieve the desired results.
12. How do I schedule a one-to-one training session, and what should I prepare for it?
Scheduling a one-to-one session is easy! Simply contact us through our website or phone, and we’ll find a convenient time for you. One to one Training always start with an Assessment Appointment where we discuss the issues you are having with your dog, once I understand your struggles and your goals I will design a training programme that will address the specific areas you’d like to work on. at the end of the assessment we will book in your one to one training session(s). Before the appointment it is useful for you to write down what you would like to work on and any behaviours that are causing friction in your daily life. When you come for your first training session make sure you bring a selection of your dog’s favourite treats and a few toys, such as chaser tug toys to use as rewards during training.
13. What training methods do you use during classes and one-to-one sessions?
I believe in positive reinforcement as the foundation of my training method. This means that we will be rewarding the behaviours we want with treats, praise, affection, and play while avoiding punitive measures. My aim is to create a positive and enjoyable training experience for both you and your dog.

I will periodically assess how your training journey is progressing and guide you on when your dog is ready for more advanced training. Typically, it depends on your dog’s understanding of the level of the skills taught and their comfort level in more challenging environments. I ensure that your dog is fully prepared before moving on to the next level.
16. What should I bring to a training class or one-to-one session?
For training classes, bring your dog on a flat collar with detachable lead and Y or H-shaped harness which has an attachment point on the front and the back, along with a selection of tasty treats, your dog’s favourite toy, a blanket or bed and water. For one-to-one sessions, have your dog’s favourite treats and any training tools you may use at home, such as a clicker or target stick.
17. Can you help with specific behavioural issues my dog is experiencing?
Absolutely! In addition to being an experienced Dog Training Instructor of 30 years, I am also a fully qualified and insured Companion Animal Behaviourist having studied with COAPE and have Completed their Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training in 2010. I have over 27 years of experience in dealing with various behavioural issues. From separation anxiety to reactivity and leash pulling to not coming back when called, I am here to provide the guidance and solutions your dog needs to overcome these challenges.

Yes, I understand that some situations may prevent you from attending in-person classes. I offer online training sessions where I can address your training needs through video conferencing and provide personalized guidance remotely.
